Occasionally Capsi will be giving away free CDs or merchandise to new signups and existing members. Participation is completely free of purchase.
At the end of a sweepstake run, we award one virtual ticket for every promo point earned during its run. We throw those tickets in a virtual hat, put on a virtual blindfold, shuffle and pick our winners! New and existing users can earn "promo points" through a number of ways:
- Signing up. New to the site? Register an account and you'll receive ten promo points!
- Referrals. Invite your friends! Whenever a friend of yours signs up you'll earn an additional five promo points! Invitations are only tracked if you invite your friends through the Friends -> Invite feature in your account.
- Participation. You can earn one additional promo point for every day you have logged in to the site.
Some limitations do apply however:
- Duplicate accounts. You are not allowed to create more than one account as this would unrightfully increase your chances of winning. When we spot abuse you will lose all promo points in each of your accounts. Besides: existing users can also earn promo points so there is really no need to be greedy.
- Abusive accounts. Spamming the site by adding fake concerts/artists or repeatedly harassing other users may lead to termination of your account and likewise you will no longer qualify to win in our sweepstakes.
- Once-per-run. You can only win one prize in a single sweepstake, regardless of how many tickets you have or how many other users qualify for the draw.
- Prize distribution. We do pick winners at random, but we use two sets of users to do so: half of the prizes (rounded up) will be given out to new users. For example, if there are five prizes, three will be given to new users and two will be given to existing users (who registered prior to the start of the particular promotion).
This distribution is easily accomplished by simply selecting the first winner from new users, the second from existing users, the third from new users again, and so on. In case there are different kinds of prizes to be given away we'll start giving away those with the highest value and make sure there are at least two of each so both new and existing users have a chance of winning any prize.
Please note that there are no currently active sweepstake campaigns.
